Where will the money come from? |

An independent feasibility study was funded by Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. In 2007 the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) awarded a Project Planning Grant to fund the development of plans for the Centre. In 2008 we successfully applied to the HLF for a Stage 1 grant towards the cost of achaeological work, the development of detailed architectural plans and the development of a detailed programme for the Centre. Following a successful local appeal for matched funding, the Stage 2 funding application to HLF for £561,000 was made in July 2009. Further funding is still being sought from grants and local appeals in order to ensure that our interpretation displays and equipment remain in good order.
